Darien & Jorsh: Capturing Love in Mallorca. A Destination Wedding Story by Photographer Irisha Kulbovska

Photographing a destination wedding on the sun-drenched island of Mallorca is always a dream. From the soft Mediterranean light to the ancient stone architecture of an authentic Balearic finca, every detail of this wedding embodied timeless elegance and effortless romance.

My goal as a photographer was to create a calm, authentic space where the couple could stay fully present. Before the ceremony, we captured quiet, emotional moments - including handwritten vow books, fine details, and intimate portraits -using a gentle documentary approach to preserve raw feelings naturally.

 

The outdoor ceremony took place in a historic cobblestone courtyard surrounded by lush greenery. Capturing a wedding under the bright Mallorcan sun requires precise light control; by utilizing natural golden-hour lighting and dynamic angles, we preserved the warm stone textures, elegant floral arrangements, and delicate pastel tones worn by the bridal party.

Whether documenting candid toasts or fine-art couple portraits, my focus is always on blending unscripted photojournalism with timeless aesthetics. Mallorca offers an unforgettable backdrop for destination weddings, and capturing these genuine moments is what makes this art so rewarding.
